You are a time traveler recruited by the Temporal Studies and Experiments Group or the TSEG. First day on the job and you already get to test their first time machine prototype, lucky you! The concept of time travel always fascinated you and you've become quite the history buff because of it. [[Continue|origin]]

You walk in like you own the place, when obviously you don't, it's owned by Dr. Steiner, the CEO and inventor of time manipulation technology. Watching the first ever test of such technology on TV is a memory you can't forget. It was a half eaten apple that miraculous turned whole again. Truely magical. Without looking where you were going, you walked right into someone. She seemed to be a scientist, you could tell by her lab coat and clipboard which fell on the floor because of your clumsiness. You go behind the back of the building and peak through one of the windows and find the time travel machine in all of its glory. Expecting to see a Delorian or a tricked-out Hot Tub you get disappointed when your realize it looks to be a laser cannon pointing to the floor. It's looks more like a weapon rather than a time machine. You step down from the box you were standing on to get a better look, when you read the label on the box... [[Continue|outsideHQ2]]

You hail a cab back to your dusty aparment to live the rest of your days knowing you missed out on the biggest opportunity of your life. ''THE COWARD ENDING'' (That was fast)

In front of you is the TSEG head quarters. You smell the fresh, all-natural paint across the buliding, most likely to impress the shareholders coming in for the big day. It says TIME MACHINE MARK 1. Wow, you thought, they have a time machine just lying out back here? You open it and its a smaller, more sleek design compared to the one in the lab, looking more like a traditional laser gun you'd see in a Sci-fi B-movie. You think for a second if you should blast yourself just for the heck of it. But it suddenly explodes in you hands... [[Continue|outsideHQ3]]

You wake up. Your head hurts. Looking around and there's nothing but sand. You seach for the time travel device for what seems like hours in the scorching desert. You hunger for, not only in general but for the one thing that could send you home. The only thing you find is a skeleton, arms and legs streched out before you. That was when you realize your fate has already been sealed. ''THE CURIOUS ENDING'' (you need some water?)

You don't say anything back and keep walking, you have a job to do, after all. You hear the scientist say "Jerk." behind your back. But who cares? You're about to time travel, you have bigger things to do than being nice! [[Continue|HQLab1]] (set: $rudetoLily to 1)

You pick up the clipboard off the floor and hand it back to her. "Thanks!" she said. "My names Dr. Lilly." "What's yours?" [["I'm Atlas!"]] [["I'm Dr. Atlas the third!" "Atlas, huh?" she says intrigued. "Aren't you the one who's going to be the first time traveler?" [[Yep, but I'm gonna be late! Nice meeting you!]]

You enter 'LAB C', where they told you to meet and your right on time. "Ah, you must be Atlas. Nice to finally see you in the flesh!" [[Dr. Steiner! Huge fan!]] [[Lets get to business|suitup1]]

"Really? Well, I'm honored." Dr. Steiner put his hand on his chest. "I take it you've done some research." [[Sure have! I know everything from the dinosaurs to the Great Wall!|suitup1]] [[About you? I've watched your show sense I was a kid!]]

"Huh, I didn't know anyone even cared." he scratched his chin. "It's nice to hear from a fan." he smiles at you. You smile back. [[Let's get to work!|suitup1]]

"Ok! Lets get started then!" he waves over some people in black suits. They're both wearing mirrored sunglasses. "Right this way, sir," one of them says in a deep masculine voice. You enter into a dressing room with what you presume is the time travel suit you'll be wearing. "Slip this on" another one says, handing you the suit. You put it on, it's fits like a glove, it's like it was made for you. You realize that's why they asked your size in the email. Suddenly, a sharp pain hits the back of your neck, you can't help but hunch over. A small device was implanted onto your back of your neck. You feel it's rock solid texture. [[Continue|suitup2]]

"It's okay, that's perfectly normal," Dr. Steiner said. "We need that to send you back here in space-time." He puts his hands on your shoulders, "Don't. Let. It. Break." [[Okay, say no more, loud and clear!|HQLab2]] [[W-why?]]

"Because if it breaks it could not only mean we can't get you back home but your body could be ripped apart by the overflow of the temporal energy!" he started yelling. "Craving for death! Like getting chomped by a billion piranhas every second!" [[It's too late to quit, huh?]]

"Yep!" he said excitedly. "Don't let us down. Or I'll be living on the streets." he shoved you out the door and back into the lab. [[Continue|HQLab2]]

Outside the dressing room, The lab is suddenly filled with dozens of people, most likely shareholders. They applaud you as you walk up to the podium with the time travel device. It appears to be a laser cannon pointing to the floor. A small pad on the ground below the barrel of the laser is where you presume you'll be standing. You think to yourself, It looks more like a weapon rather than a time machine. A scientist comes up to you and you recognize her... "Nice meeting you too and-" her sentence gets cut off by some of her colleages asking her a question. You rush into 'LAB C', where they told you to meet in the email and you're right on time. "Uh, a Doctorate in Doctor-ing?" she asks. "That's pretty wierd." [[No, It's real alright! Gotta go!|Yep, but I'm gonna be late! Nice meeting you!]]

You dismiss yourself from the converation with Dr. Lilly. You don't want to be late, after all. [[Continue|HQLab1]]

It's Dr. Lilly, that nice scientist you ran into. "Hi!" she said quietly. "Funny running into you again." She dials up something on the big machine. "So which time do you want to head to?" [[I beg your pardon?]] [[I get to choose?!|I beg your pardon?]]

"You get to choose which time you want to go to!" she exclaims. "You're the one traveling, right?" You nod your head, trying to contain your excitement. This is everything you've ever dreamed off. "Well?" she askes. "What will it be?" You think for a moment and ponder this question. You could go to [[Ancient Egypt]] and watch the pyrimids get built. Travel to [[Medieval Europe]] and meet kings and queens of legend. Go to [[Ancient Rome]] and fight a gladiator. Meet some reckless cowboys in the heat of the [[Gold Rush.]] Or... Maybe even the future. Try out something you'll see in your life time. Like maybe [[2066]]? Go way far in advance, dozens of generations ahead. Try [[2234]].

You get ready to blast off and you hear Dr. Lilly say "Good luck!" as you get zapped by the time travel device. Dr. Lily says "Open this note when you get to your desination. Okay?" "Okay." You find this odd but you play along. You get zapped by the time machine as you hear Dr. Lily say "Have fun!" [[Continue|barrenwasteland]]

You appear in the Roman Colosseum with a way bigger crowd than before. They started yelling "Challenger!", the echos boomed in the audience. Soon a Warrior appeared with a silver sword and a shield. There's weapons on the ground, a [[short sword]], a [[throwing spear]], or a [[long gurthy sword.]]

You pick up the short sword but the Warrior charges at you and knocks the sword out of your hand. Putting up your dukes, you're not done yet, as you know the romans fight to the death. The roman swiftly slices you in two. ''THE WARRIORS ENDING'' (I didn't get the HALF of what just happened)

You pick up the throwing spear and launch it at the warrior, it stabs him right in the heart. He lays there, dead. The crowd cheers for your victory and a large door opens behind you. People are waving you inside. You greet them but they don't speak English. "TRANSLATOR ENABLED" your suit beeps. "Mighty job there, stranger." A man in white robes tells you. He seems to be the owner of this colosseum. "Do you have a name?" [[I'm Atlas.]] [[I'm the Great Atlas!|I'm Atlas.]]

You manage to lift up the Big sword but it's hard to swing. This leaves you open for a devistating blow to the chest. You heart beats its last. ''THE HEARTBROKEN ENDING'' (Different kind of heart break, I guess)

"Atlas! Yes!" he says with his arms spread out. "ATLAS, THE GREAT! This will get more people to watch for sure!" [[You want me to stay?]]

"No." he said. "I need you to stay" He waves his hands at the guards and they run toward you. [[Get captured]] [[Fight guards]]

You let yourself get caputured and wait to be sent back home automatically. Eventually, you get sent back home. "How was it?" Dr. Lilly asked. You tell her and everyone the story of getting captured by a roman overlord to fight in a colosseum. Everyone was quite amazed but the scientists were looking for soild proof of anything. Sadly all you had were the chains that keep you in the prison cell. ''THE UNCHAINED ENDING'' (Hey, at least you aren't dead, right?)

You fight the guards but you were clearly out matched. They beat you to the ground. You hear the man say, "No, don't kill him, you cretins!" The guards were so angry they smashed the small device on your neck, your way back home. You die a slow and painful death like Dr. Steiner! had said. ''THE SMASHED ENDING'' (You don't like him when he's angry)

You appear outside in the middle of a desert. Turning around, you see the pyramids, but only the bottom halves of them. You wonder why they are like that until you realize that they are being bulit before your very eyes. You admire this spectacle until someone taps you on the shoulder You meet Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt. [[Talk to her]] [[Overthrow her]]

You greet her, but you forget she can't speak your language. "TRANSLATOR ENABLED" your suit beeps. "Hello there, stange metal man." she says with uncertainty. You greet her and tell her you come in peace. You ask some questions you had in mind. "How long did it take to build the pyramids?" and "What's your favorite color?" You realize that last one was quite dumb. Nevertheless, you evenually head back home with new discoveries of ancient egypt. ''THE EGYPT ENDING'' (Walk like an ancient egyptian.)

Realizing what kind of power you could have if you were to overthrow her; you try to find a way to defeat her and establish dominance. You yell, "Weapons! Activate!" to the sky, hoping for the suit to have some offensive capabilities. Cleopatra looks at you with confusion and says something that you couldn't understand. The suit suddenly says "THREAT DETECTED!" and too swords appered from your hands. You slashed your swords to Cleopatra's neck. Her hands flew up. After a bit of negoshating she surendered Egypt to you. You were for a brief moment, king of egypt. Until you got sent back home. When you got sent back you check the history books to find yourself in them. You were merely a myth. The Steel man you were named. What this could intale is quite astonishing. ''THE MYTH MAKER ENDING'' (You could have been bigfoot for all I know)

You appear in a grand stone castle with red and purple decorations everywhere unlike anything you've studied before. The castle shakes and you hear yelling, they seem to be under attack. [[Help them guard the castle]] [[Leave them to die]]

You deicide to help the castle guards, you can't leave them to die. You dash over to the chaos but it seems like it's too late, the intruders have broken in the castle. Stepping over countless dead bodies on the floor you see the general of all of these troops. You can take them on! You hope that your suit has some sort of weapons. Shaking your arms didn't work. One knight charges at you. Out of desperation you punch him in the face. It did nothing but out appears a metal giant fist from your suit around your hand. You go for round two and send the knight flying across the room. Feeling cocky, you yell, "Who's next?!" the knights cower in fear and slowly stepped away from the castle wall. The general was pissed and followed suit. After a sigh of relief, you are starled by the cheering of civilians. The king greets you and thanks you for your service. Shortly after you are teleported back home. Back at the lab you look at the world map and see a new territory, Cruiterra. You single-handedly started a new country out of your kindness. ''THE LIBERATOR ENDING'' (Good luck, stormin' the castle!)

You decide to explore other parts of the Medieval Europe, this is just one civilation afterall compared to the countless you could discover. You steal someone's horse and chariot and dash into the forest. A map is shown from your suit on your wrist, a hologram. You want to make the trek to England but you realize that's unreaistic. You instead go to a small village in the distance. You arrive in the village and looks to be abandonded. Looking around you find nothing except one house that has it's door open. You look inside, curiosity taking the best of you. A shadowy figure emerges from the dark room. He looks scared. Before you could get the first word out, you get impaled by a sword behind the back. An ambush, you thought, as you tumble to the ground. ''THE AMBUSHED ENDING'' (Didn't see //that// one coming, although that might have been the point.)

Your appear in a thick green fog. It captures your breath, you start to suffocate. Your suit beeps, "OXYGEN HELMET" and a helmet flaps over you. Catching your breath, you start to walk around to try and find civilization. You find this tall beacon of light that seems to go up to space. A hologram appers in front of you from the beacon's base, explaining it's purpose. Apparently the beacon sends you up to Mars as soon as you touch it but it's only available certain times during the year because of how the planets orbit. You just so happened to be at the perfect time. You think of going up there, just to see what it's like. But some one behind you says "Don't go to Mars, you'll die." She looks old and might be the last human left on earth. [[Go to mars]] [[Stay on earth]]

You get teleported to Mars inside a colony. Looking around you find rich families eating dinner in a grand room. You get confused, were you even teleported to Mars? You explore the place and find a library. In the back of your mind, for this whole journey, you're trying to find away to stop this future from happening. You grab all the history books you can before you get teleported back home. Back at the lab, your journey of traveling a desolate Earth has scared you. You devote your life to environmental research to stop that terrible future from coming by using the history books you snagged. ''THE ENVIRONMENTAL ENDING'' (We only have one planet! For now...)

You appear in the middle of an old style town. Every building is made out of wood and logs. In front of you is a saloon. [[Enter]] [[Look around]]

As you enter the saloon, everyone gives you a glance, most likely because of your alien suit. You take a seat a the bar. No one at the bar makes a comment about your metalic suit but the bartender who says "Halloween was a month ago, fool!" Everyone laughed, all but one. There is a rough scoundrel sitting alone a table who stands up. His presence stops the laughter. Everyone else cowers and looks at their drinks. The man yells at you "Where ever you've came from I want you gone!" You get up from your seat and stand your ground. "Make me!" you tell him. Everyone gasps. There's dead silence. "Take it outside!" the bartender finally says. You both walk outside, to do a standoff. Standing back to back, you realize you have no idea what your doing. You tried to conjure a gun from your suit, by whispering "Gun! Gun!" Finally one pops out of your wrist, it's a laser gun. You take a few steps forward. The scoundrel says, "Ready... DRAW!" You turn blindly and shoot your gun, while bracing for impact. Luckly you're in one piece and the scoundrel is dead. Everyone cheers in your victory. Before you could celebrate, you get teleported back to the lab, wishing you could have stayed a little longer. ''THE QUICKDRAW ENDING'' (This town here ain't big enough for the both of us.)

You decided to pass on the saloon as you don't want to dilly dally, you're on the clock. Walking around the town, you see someones carriage filled with gold. You hop in the carriage with the intent of taking it back with you. Unlucky for you the owner of the carriage and the gold saw you and yells "Hey! That's my gold!" You whip carriges horses to ride into the sunset. All alone you pack your gold in a sack, and wait to be sent back to the lab. As soon as you do, you run off with all the gold in your sack, worth millions. ''THE FILTHY RICH ENDING'' (Yeehaw!)

You appear on a sidewalk in a suburb neighborhood. Everything looks normal until someone flies over you with a hover bike. They park it next to their house and walks inside. "Sweet fit!" they say, gesturing their hand at you as they walk along. [[Steal the hoverbike]] [[Walk around]]

You take a stroll around the place, checking out parks and statues of people you don't know yet. You run into the police of this district. "Sorry," you say "I need to watch where am go-" The officer cuts you off. "Where's your AI chip?" "What?" you ask. You're confused, is there somesort of law that needs everyone to have an AI chip? "They don't seem to have it installed," the other officer says after scanning you with his sunglasses. In response, the first officers sighs and shoots you with a form of gun that attaches a chip to your head. It latches on to you and goes into your brain. You feel your own thoughts being monintored and influenced. "We'll have to leave you with warning." one of them says. You can't focus, you hear a voice in your head. "Hi, how can I help?" Before anything can escalate you get teleported back home. As soon as you arrive you hear, "Sorry, I can't connect to the servers" over and over again ringing in your brain, you scream in pain. Everyone in the lab rushes to help but you don't know what happened, if your alive or dead. Your body has been taken over. ''THE INTELLIGENT ENDING'' (Woah, freaky.)

You get teleported to a dessert, your confused as this isn't where you said you'd go. You read the note Lilly gave you. 'NEXT TIME, BE NICER TO ME' You're stuck here because of your rude actions. It's time you learned your lesson. ''THE KARMA ENDING'' (How could you?!)

You hesitate from pressing the beacon and take her warning. You look over at her, she's wearing a oxygen mask like you, her wrinkles are touching the bottom of the helmet. She slowly smiles, "You're that time traveler, huh?" "Uh, yeah." you slowly anwser. "How'd you know?" She laughes. "Oh, you're silly, that old 2000s humor." You're not sure what you said to make her laugh but before you could get a word out she asks you to follow her. She leads you to an underground base away from all the polution. You see a handful of people down there gathering around a dirty small wooden table. "Would you care to join us for dinner?" the woman asked kindly. "I shouldn't" you said, anxous of the world that will become. The woman grabs your arm and says "I'm afraid you must!" she licks her lips. You realize what you've run into, a bunch of post-apocalyptic cannibals. You run for the door but it closes shut. One person in the back shoots you with a lazer gun in the chest. You can't blame them, they're just hunting for survivial. ''THE CANNIBALISTIC ENDING'' (I bet you tasted good.)

You grab the hover bike and ride away into the sky. You feel as free as a bird until the vehicle runs out of power. You quickly fall to the ground to your death. ''THE PANCAKE ENDING'' (Splat!)
